AIDS Alabama South is hosting a World AIDS Day picnic on Saturday, December 5th from 12 -2 p.m. The picnic will be held on the lawn of the beautiful Historic Oakleigh House Museum located near Kitchen on George in midtown Mobile. USA’s Percussion Ensemble Steel Band will be performing light and easy music and Delish Bakery & Eatery will be selling brown bag lunches for those who don’t want to pack a picnic basket. Plus, Rev. Ellen Sims with Open Table: A Community of Faith, will lead a quick prayer for a cure and a moment of silence honoring all the lives that have been affected by HIV/AIDS. Everyone is invited to attend, the event is free. Don’t forget a towel or blanket to sit on!
