Registration is open for a free event at the GulfQuest museum exploring topics related to the Africatown community and the slave ship Clotilda.  “Wade in the Water” will feature panelists Ann Louise China of the UNESCO Middle Passage Ceremonies and Port Markers Project; Natalie S. Robertson, and Africatown descendant and the author of “Spirit of our Ancestors,” and Liz Smith-Incer, a National Park Service official coordinating efforts to develop an Africatown Connections Blueway intended to improve public access to waterways in and near the Africatown community.
