Earth Day at the Mobile Japanese Garden

April 20, 10:00 am2:00 pm

Come out and see Gulf Coast Creation Care at the 3rd Annual Earth Day Celebration at Mobile Japanese Garden, 700 Forest Hill Dr. on Saturday, April 20 from 10 am to 2 pm.

The event is sponsored by Drive Electric Alabama (there will be an electric vehicle showcase) and Love Your Community. This year, Mobile Museum of Art is also participating with youth art activity creating Koinobori (Japanese windsock) using recyclable materials like plastic and paper bags. This is in celebration of Japan’s National Children’s Day where families fly giant carp windsocks on flagpoles next to their homes from April to May as a symbol of perseverance, hoping their children will be as spirited and determined as the strong carp that swims upstream through powerful waterfalls.

We will also be present at Fairhope Pier Park’s celebration (Earth Day Mobile Bay) brought to you by Sierra Club from 10 am to 4 pm.
