For animal lovers among us, there is a one-day showing on September 23rd of the new documentary “A Dog Named Gucci,” which tells the story of a puppy that was hanged, beaten, and set on fire by a group of teenagers in Mobile. Gucci survived and became the catalyst for new animal cruelty legislation in Alabama. You can view the trailer here.
This film will show on Wednesday, September 23rd at the Crescent Theater at 2 pm, 6 pm, and 8:30 pm. The film maker will be present for Q&A after each showing and the proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Mobile Animal Shelter. www.crescenttheater.com
